I assume everyone who views Johannes’ site either buys whisky at auction or is interested in doing so.
Why do you buy it? I’ve started buying whisky purely as an investment. Although I am Scottish I have no interest in drinking the stuff and much prefer beer as my tipple of choice. Some of you I assume must love the stuff and buy bottles for sharing with friends. Others no doubt just want the perfect collection of Port Ellens or Springbanks and ownership is the end in itself.
So why do you buy at auction?
    1 To make money
    2 To enjoy great whisky
    3 To collect great whisky
4 A combination of the above.
    5 Another reason.
I would be really interested in the answers if anyone wants to post on this topic,

Its good place to find whiskies not available anywhere else.
It is also a treasure hunt!
